Hi everyone, about a month ago I made a quick video called, ‘How to dictate in multiple languages using Talon (Dragon replacement)’. Today, I’m back with another cool app I just discovered, which can essentially do the same thing, but which is much easier to install and use. For example, on Windows, it’s literally just a case of running a Windows installer, running it, and pressing a shortcut to trigger it. It’s that easy. It runs on MacOS, Windows or as a Chrome extension.
It’s called ‘Whispering’, and is available on GitHub at https://github.com/braden-w/whispering. You can also test it online @ https://whispering.bradenwong.com/.
Here’s a quick screencast of me dictating in English and Dutch. I haven’t tested it extensively with other languages, but I managed to get very good results in German and Spanish as well, and I’m sure it will work with many other languages!
