Hi, I’m Michael Beijer. I’m a technical/patent translator & terminologist with 30 years of experience. I provide well-researched, fluent translations between Dutch and English, both my native languages as I am bilingual.

Although I’m comfortable translating a wide range of subjects – ranging from user manuals and audit reports to marketing copy and financial documents – the majority of my work currently consists of patents and technical material.

Editing/copywriting: Together with my wife, Jen Rouse, I offer various copywriting and editing services. Get in touch to see if we can help you with your specific problem!

Terminology: I can also help you with a range of terminological tasks, from the creation of monolingual or bilingual glossaries and database management to terminology software consulting and term research. You can read more about my interest in terminology here.

Translation workflow optimisation: I have extensive experience with all the major CAT tools, translation memory & terminology tools and I am an expert at solving the complex ‘file prepping’ and conversion problems that can all too often slow down a translation project.
