Correct and consistent terminology is critical in technical translation, which is why I maintain an extensive database of specialist terminology. This website presents a selection from my extensive collection in a systematic and easily searchable format. The resources on this site are organised using two main categories: Terms and Glossaries.

Terms

The ‘Terms’ category is relatively self-explanatory. It refers to terms in the standard sense. The term pages contain my own research while translating. I basically use this wiki as a notepad and memory aid, so a lot of the content will be quickly written and potentially far from perfect. If you find anything glaringly incorrect, feel free to drop me a line!

Glossaries

The ‘Glossaries’ category, on the other hand, refers to any kind of terminological resource, whether this be a glossary, termbase, website with terminology, dictionary, term lookup software, etc. A more apt term would therefore be, ‘terminological resources’, but this doesn't sound as snappy. Items in the Glossary category are organised using alphabetical index pages, which can be accessed here.
